Steven Furtick and the rest of Elevation Church successfully launched Love Week in an effort to radically impact their neighborhoods by showing love through action. This volunteer based initiative allowed the congregation at large to slip on their work pants, get a little mud on their shoes, and meet the community’s immediate needs.

Rather than simply talking about the gospel for a few hours on a Sunday morning, the folks at Elevation were able to live out their faith by serving a total of10,551 hours.

Among the various ways people could sign up for service projects, RSVP via Texting allowed members to easily pick their volunteer opportunity by simply texting in the name of the team that they wanted to serve on. Then, the smart logistics people were able to capture the data, copy, and paste people in their desired groups with out trying to decipher messy handwriting or risking dangerous paper cuts.
