This is one of the blunt realizations that Lead Pastor Scott Hodge came to, after a weekend service where audience members were able to text in their financial woes and questions. For the program, The Orchard invited a financial planner to the stage and paired his professional expertise with solid biblical truths, then invited the congregation to address their financial struggles anonymously through text message.
A flood of questions came in, allowing both the financial planner and Hodge the opportunity to present some insight on how the contents of one’s bank account can influence their faith journey.
Though there were questions that did not get addressed during time frame of the service, the list of concerns gave The Orchard staff great insight to the pulse of their congregation, paving the way for future discussion and programming.
